Only Men Aloud sign multi-million-pound Universal deal

The winner of BBC One competition Last Choir Standing has
received what is believed to be the largest amount ever paid to a
choir anywhere in the world as part of the deal.
Founder and music director Tim Rhys-Evans said: 'The last
couple of months have been incredible but signing to Universal is
just a dream come true for all of us.'
Dickon Stainer, Universal's managing director, added: 'The
quality of their singing is incredible.'
The 18-strong choir, which formed in 2000, will release its first
album on 17 November and will include Don't Rain on My Parade,
the performance that led them to win over the judges and beat
fellow Welsh finalists Ysgol Glanaethwy in the television series.
Only Men Aloud will perform at the Wales-Australia rugby match on
29 November and will headline its biggest shows to date on 13 and
14 December.
